While she can laugh now about the affectionate term for people with a sensitivity to mould, Camilla’s own experience had a devastating impact on her home, family and business — and caused long-term damage to her health.
After years of offering advice, coaching and support to others battling mould, she realised there was a serious need — not just for testing and remediation, but for a safe place people could turn to for support through their mould journey, knowing they’d be treated with care and compassion.
That realisation is what sparked MouldSafe: a female-founded company run by people who understand what it’s like to navigate mould-related illness, move home, live in a contaminated environment, care for sick children and lose personal belongings.

Co-founder Gaelle spent ten years with a reputable Sydney mould remediation company before relocating to the Central Coast. As an IICRC-accredited restoration technician, she brings the technical rigour behind everything we do.
Her focus has always been the root cause — not just removing what you can see, but finding and fixing the moisture problem that let it grow in the first place.
