A mould assessment examines your property to determine whether there has been water damage and mould growth — using specialised equipment, independent lab testing and a detailed room-by-room report.
HOW IT WORKS
Two steps: inspection, then testing
We use specialised equipment such as moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to detect hidden sources of moisture that could be causing mould growth.
MouldSafe then conducts indoor air quality assessments, which are sent to an independent laboratory. You receive a detailed report outlining the types of mould found in each room of your building.
Mould fact: “Dry rot” (mould growth) can appear within 24–48 hours under the right conditions and environment.

Initial inspection & testing
The assessor conducts an initial inspection and takes air and/or surface samples to determine the type and severity of mould growth, and the potential health risks associated with it.

Interpretation of results
Results are interpreted in a written report. Depending on the findings, a further inspection may be the recommended next step.

Further inspection
A thorough inspection of the property to identify the areas of mould growth, the extent of the damage, and potential health risks.

Remediation recommendations
Based on the assessment and testing results, we outline the steps needed to safely and effectively remediate the affected areas — and fix the underlying problem.

Prevention strategies
Advice on preventing future mould growth, such as identifying and addressing sources of moisture and humidity.
